What will we do Camp Kaufmann Weekend Getaway
All girls will work with their troop or mom to choose a track that will start their adventure. Each track is designed to teach the girls new skills.
Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies
Water Discovery: Spend a morning or afternoon at Lake Carola. Activities will include row boating, fishing, a scavenger hunt and a craft. This track is ideal for first-time campers.
Discovery Camp: Visit our famous Bug Man; learn to cook a simple snack on a camp fire and go on gentle discovery walk in the woods.
Girl Scout Juniors
Junior Adventure: Learn archery, orienteering, make snacks for hiking and do some challenges on our low ropes course.
Junior Chief: Learn three different methods of cooking; “ no trace camping ” and menu planning for a camping trip. Do environmental exploration with the Bug Man.
Older Girls Grade 6 – 12)
Iron Chef Kaufmann style: Learn three different methods of camp cooking; make choices about what food to use and how to make the least impact on the environment.
Flying High: Take the team challenge on our Low Ropes course then enjoy a High Adventure on our High Ropes course.
